I will make your journey in CFD or FEA Analysis easier by making a mesh that's easier to converge in a simulation (often more accurate). The software that I will use is ICEM CFD and could work with multiple geometries file such as STL IGS IGES SLDPRT.
Learning curve of making a structured hexahedral elements for CFD is quite steep. As most of the CFD solver will having a better convergence rate if using a Hexahedral as a volume mesh and Quad as surface mesh. I'm very familiar with the workings of ICEM CFD and experienced in student and Industrial Internship applications.
